Week 2

 During this week, the team discussed the process of the project.

1- At the start of the setup, The components were gathered and their functionality was individually checked to ensure everything will work.

2- The team ran into an issue where the voltage input from the battery source was too low for the lock to function, therefore the extra supplies were requested from the EEE workshop. The components including an AC adapter to increase the input voltage and a buzzer to add an extra function to the circuit.

3-More research was conducted to make the LCD screen work with the circuit

4- The team found it difficult to write the LCD code as the code did not run as needed.

Tasks for next week:

- The team will try to implement a suitable code to get the LCD screen to run.

- Figure out how the connect it to the outputs of the fingerprint sensor and door lock.

This was the project's final week, and as previously mentioned in the blog, the product's basic functionality is now accessible. As a result, the team's key tasks this week were as follows: 1- All of the circuits have been completed, and all of the components have been fitted together on a wooden plank to portray the project as a whole. 2- By inserting the correct and incorrect fingers, the project can be tested with the code and library. figure 4: Final circuit 3- All the team members started working on the poster, presentation, and final report which will be submitted the week after the bench inspection day. The project is done at this point, the team is now preparing for the inspection day and the completion of all the required forms.

The team focused on completing the following tasks within the first week of the project:   1-The team discussed the materials required for the project. 2- The discussion included an action plan for the coming weeks, and deadlines set by the team leader to ensure finishing the project on time; ensuring constant communication between the team members. 4- The team ran into a problem where there was a shortage of certain supplies that needed to be brought in from the EEE.
